    please remind me all the costs associated. we have an older style farm which we wish to sell and i think there are things like "termites" certificate i believe we need to do. please could someone confirm if there is and any other additional costs we need to bear in mind. also if i remember correctly it is the buyer who pays for notary fees and estate agents fees> thanks

    Dear nats,

    It is difficult to assess the costs required in your particular situation as there are many variables to apply surveys to a sale (date of construction, geographical situation, date of the last survey, etc.).

    The other main issue to be considered is capital gains tax liability (if any).

    The buyer is often liable for notaire’s fees and estate agent commission but it is not automatically applied as such and the parties may prefer a different arrangement.
