   Welcome to This French Forum
   
   I have created this forum off the back of my This French Life website and tried to keep it as simple as possible.
   
   Anyone can read the site, but to "Start a new discussion" you need to register. It is free, quick and your email address is safe - it will never be sold.
   
   There are just a handful of categories so that people can easily see the most recent posts, with the two main ones covering French language and property in France.
   
   Other discussions can sit under one of two categories, Questions or Comments. I told you it was simple.
   
   Naturally Questions is for questions, but Comments could be for events and shows near you, travel tips and advice on French life or even items for sale or late-availability deals.
   
   To follow discussions subscribe to the Atom RSS feed in the left hand column or click on the Account tab at the top of the page, then Notification in the left hand column and you can manage which updates you will receive to the email address you used in your registration.
   
   You can "Whisper" a message to another user of the site, this is a private note that only the two people involved can see, just type the username of the person you want to contact in the box, and your message below.
   
   And you can leave a short signature at the end of any comments you post featuring a link to your own website in this format http://www.thisfrenchlife.com
